＜ボタニカル＞

白濁・澱・油滴について
MAWSIMのジンは、白濁・澱・油滴を生じることがしばしばあります。氷やソーダなどの割り材を入れた場合は、ほとんど確実に白濁します。この現象は、ボタニカル由来の香り成分が、揮発性オイルであることに起因します。ジンの香りと風味を決定しているこれらの精油が、アルコールに溶け切らないほどふんだんに抽出された時、白濁などの現象が起きます。冷却濾過することでこれを抑制できますが、それとともに風味も損なうため、MAWSIMでは無濾過製法にこだわっています。

About cloudiness, sediment, and oil droplets:
MAWSIM gin often exhibits cloudiness, sediment, and oil droplets. If mixed with ice or soda, it will almost certainly become cloudy. This phenomenon is caused by the aromatic components derived from botanicals being volatile oils. When these essential oils, which define the gin's aroma and flavor, are extracted in such abundance that they do not fully dissolve in the alcohol, phenomena such as cloudiness occur. While chill filtering can suppress this, it also impairs the flavor, so MAWSIM is committed to an unfiltered production method.
